The Rooms

Room Maggie:

The golden and yellow colors give a cozy and bright atmosphere to this room. Enjoy a sophisticated and luxurious feeling in this room, which is located on the first floor with a breathtaking view of this park on the frontside of the castle. 

Room Florence:

Pink and dark red colors mark Florence's bedroom and create, together with classic furniture, fabrics on the wall, a warm, cozy and pleasant atmosphere.

Both rooms were named after one of the three Stephens sisters who lived at Huseby Castle in the late 19th century - early 20th century - in Småland, southern Sweden.

For more than 13 years, as the current owners of Château du Breuil, we have had the pleasure of living in a manor house that belonged to Miss Maggie Stephens between 1936 and 1958. As part of this beautiful manor house, which we also operate as a bed and breakfast, we have received many guests. Therefore, we thought it would be a great tribute to this distinguished lady and her family to name the rooms of our new bed and breakfast in this castle after a member of this historic family from Sweden.

In this way, we reconnect our current way of living and working with an important phase of our common past.
